We’re back with some more Aer, and this album they’ve just dropped is so good. The Boston natives have blessed us with a new collection of chill summer vibes. The genre is completely unique, as they blend David’s guitar riffs and laid-back vocals with Carter’s fast-paced rapping style. The overall sound of the music resembles Southern Cal beach reggae, which makes this an awesome Summer album. The FAM (Fresh Aer Movement) has been putting out good sounds for several years now, and this is the best we’ve heard. Check out our favorites from the album below. Tonight we have for you one of the most remixed tracks of the recent months, “Midnight City” by M83. Here’s one of these great remixes that M83 has personally approved by uploading to his Soundcloud page. This track perfectly blends some samples and stems from the track with new drum kits and a gritty background. This song, regardless of the remix, always gives off a dope, mysterious vibe. If you would like to take your music experience one step further, Soundcloud recently released their own game, called Wave Raid. Sometimes a remix is exactly what a song needs to actually sound decent. Here’s a great example of Justin Bieber’s new track “Boyfriend,” which was turned around into a catchy remake that features some of the recent faces of hip hop (i.e. Mac Miller, 2 Chainz, and Asher Roth. With the right lyrics, the stem is actually pretty dope. Give this a listen.

Summer Playlist [Part 2]

Several weeks ago, we introduced a new series of posts called the Summer Playlist. These posts feature all sorts of awesome music that’s perfect to jam to while enjoying your two months of freedom. The first post included new things from Tayyib Ali, Aer, and Mac Miller. Check out what we’ve got this time.

1. New Track: “Call Me Maybe (Remix)” by Huey Mack

First, here’s a track from another producer on the up-and-up. Huey Mack, a college rapper, has been putting out a bunch of freebies and he now has a mixtape under his belt as well. For this song, he took Call Me Maybe and spun it into his own remix. Here’s the music video for that, definitely check it out along with some of his other work.

2. New Track: “Some Nights (Remix)” by Jakob Leidholm

So this next track is one of the freshest house bangers we’ve heard recently, and it was made by a producer YOUNGER than us. Jakob Leidholm is one of the next musical prodigies, with plenty of remixing experience already at the age of 15. The coolest part is that his music has been recognized by some of the top music websites and artists. This particular track is a remake of the catchy new single “Some Nights” by indie band Fun. The vocals and piano blend perfectly with the house background on this one. Enjoy and support the artist!

3. New Track: I Won’t Go (feat. Adele) by W.E.E.D.

Our last track of this segment was released about six months ago, but we think it’s sick anyway. W.E.E.D, a music project led by Schwayze, put out this collab with Adele, which has a smooth vibe with great vocals and verses backed up by a nice beat and piano melody. Give this a listen below.
